Welcome to Little Saturday.
Hi, I’m Courtney Carver.
I’m a writer who has been sharing ideas on how to simplify your life for 15 years.
I was writing about how to live a simple life before it was cool.
I’m the founder of Be More With Less. I’m also the creator of a minimalist fashion challenge, Project 333, and author of Soulful Simplicity and Gentle.
Normally, when people first stumble on my writing, they want to declutter their closet.
But living a simple life is less about folding socks into enlightenment or even clearing out space in your closet.
It’s about creating room in your days, your home, and your heart for what actually matters.
Today, I’d like to welcome you to my newest project, Little Saturday.
So, What’s Little Saturday?
Lillördag, Swedish for “little Saturday,” is a Nordic tradition that treats Wednesday evening like a mini weekend celebration.
This mid-week pause invites you to step off the hamster wheel, order sushi, stroll at twilight, or watch your favorite film. It’s permission to play on a school night. It's a reminder that joy doesn’t have to wait for the weekend.
I created this space, Little Saturday, as your cozy corner of the internet, to share what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning) about living a gentle, simple, beautifully slow (joyful) life, and to help you do the same.

About Courtney Carver
Once upon a time, nothing was gentle about my life.
I believed that doing more, having more, and being more productive was the only way to be happy and successful.
Spoiler: it wasn’t.
Instead, I got more problems, more debt, more work, more emails, more house to manage, and just more stress.
But then in 2006, a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis forced me to rethink everything. I quickly realized I couldn’t live at the pace I was going physically, emotionally, or spiritually.
Since then, I’ve been walking (slowly and intentionally) toward less. Less stuff. Less stress. Less hustle. Less noise.
And you know what I found?
More peace. More connection. More clarity. More joy. More room for Little Saturdays. More space and confidence to live the life I actually want.
That’s why I created Be More With Less and the minimalist fashion challenge Project 333 in 2010.
I have been on an incredible journey of love, health, and simplicity. I’m so grateful to be on this path and to get to share it with you.
